Wayne Cao is an Albertan politician. A Progressive Conservative, Cao has represented the electoral division of Calgary—Fort in the Alberta Legislature since 1997.
Born in Vietnam, Cao has lived in Calgary since 1976. He was first elected to the legislature in the 1997 Alberta general election, and was re-elected in 2001 and 2004.
Cao is perhaps best known for introducing the Alberta Official Song Act in the legislature during his second term. The legislation resulted in the province adopting an official song in time for the centennial celebrations in 2005, called Alberta.
