Takeno (竹野町; -cho) is a town located in Kinosaki District, Hyogo, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 5,685 and a density of 55.31 persons per km². The total area is 102.79 km². It is along the Sea of Japan nad has a beach good for swimming.
As of 2004 Takeno is considering the unification in near future with its neighbor city and towns including Toyooka.
