The Royal Ballet, which is based at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London, is the leading ballet company in the United Kingdom.

The Royal Ballet was founded by Dame Ninette de Valois. Its founder choreographer was Frederick Ashton. Celebrated dancers of The Royal Ballet have included Dame Margot Fonteyn, Anthony Dowell , Darcey Bussell and Sylvie Guillem .

The Royal Ballet conducts regular international tours.
