Exposure can be:

• A condition of poor health or death resulting from prolonged exposure to weather
• radiation poisoning
• Exposure of the skin to sunshine, etc.
• Exposure of unwanted infants in classical Mediterranean cultures and others, a common origin for mythic heroes: Perseus, Moses, Romulus and Remus. Compare sex-selective infanticide.
• photographic exposure; see exposure (photography).
• publicity (e.g. of an artist)
• Exposure of (parts of) the body, especially the bare skin, to the view of others; if that goes too far it is called indecent exposure; the exposure may be limited out of modesty.
