Real-life superheroes are men and women in real-life who model themselves after comic book superheroes, wearing masks or otherwise disguising themselves in order to perform "heroic deeds" like community services, "good samaritanism", or (rarely) fighting crime.
Obviously, real-life superheroes do not have any super-powers, only the desire to dress up in a disguise and help others. They usually even lack the "physical fitness" of super-powerless comic-book superheroes (Batman, The Punisher, etc.), but since they are usually more concerned with non-violent activities like helping little old ladies carry their groceries, it is rarely an issue.
This category is limited to people who actually perform heroic deeds (albeit rarely ones on the scale of comic book superheroes). It does not include people who dress as superheroes for publicity events (e.g. "get your picture taken with Spider-Man"), protests (like Fathers 4 Justice), or specifically to raise awareness of a product, issue, or service (Breathe Easy Man , Captain Jackson & The Crimefighter Corps ), unless they also perform heroic deeds (like Superbarrio and Terrifica).
